I'm currently a Senior Editor and Director of Emerging Platforms at The Hill where I cover national politics and the Trump administration. I previously covered the 2016 presidential race on social media and oversee content strategy for new platforms and products such as Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook Live and 360 degree video. I am also a tech reporter for where I write about digital culture, social media, and internet stars. 

Previously, I served as an Executive Producer at People and Entertainment Weekly where I launched INSTANT, a video-first media brand backed by Time Inc. focused on covering internet celebrities. I also wrote articles about YouTube stars, conducted on-camera interviews for, and provided content strategy for emerging platforms such as Wishbone and Snapchat Discover. 

Over the course of my freelance career I have also consulted for the Daily Mail, Refinery 29, The AtlanticWordPress, and Maxim. For nearly two years, I also served as Freelance Director of Strategy and Partnerships at Mental Floss, where I built the brand's partnership and syndication network from the ground up.

Before I began consulting, I was a tech reporter at Business Insider where I covered early-stage startups and tech culture. In addition to my reporting, I oversaw syndication partnerships on BI's Tech vertical, managed freelancers, and solicited and edited guest posts and opinion pieces. My writing has been republished in Slate, Entrepreneur, and Inc.  

Before joining Business Insider, I was Global Head of Social Media and Emerging Platforms at the Daily Mail. I defined the news brand's audience development strategy and launched its presence on social media and emerging networks including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Vine, and Snapchat Discover. I served as the company's first ever Social Media Editor, and built and managed a team of 10 based in London and NYC. You can read more about my role in an interview with POLITICO Media.

Prior to joining the Daily Mail, I worked at mcgarrybowen (then both AdAge and Adweek's Agency of the Year), where I oversaw social strategy, editorial calendars, and content strategy for client brands. I worked on sponsored brand campaigns for Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest. In 2012, I helped overhaul Verizon's Facebook strategy and social presence and oversaw social tie ins with the X Factor, NFL, NHL, and IndyCar. I have ghost-tweeted on behalf of Verizon for various sponsored athletes including Alex Ovechkin and IndyCar driver Will Power, and celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Mariah Carey.

In 2011, I helped launch, a beauty, health, and wellness site by Giuliana Rancic, an E! News host. I covered beauty and health news and helped manage the startup's Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Pinterest accounts. (The company later pivoted to a beauty box subscription service.)

Before getting into digital media, I handled public relations for luxury brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Yves Saint Laurent, Donna Karan, Ann Taylor, and Nanette Lepore. A big part of my job was celebrity dressing, which included things like measuring January Jones’ toes and taking Brad Pitt's jacket to be dry cleaned. 

I have written for the Daily DotBuzzFeed, and many other publications about digital trends and things like Twitter punctuation, Snapchat hacks, and the glory of Pitbull's Facebook page. I currently live in Washington, D.C. but New York is my home, and I'm perpetually trying to move to the west coast.
